ST LUKE'S - EAST TOWER - 1ST FLOOR - To provide manual and automatic fire alarm protection, including visual annunciation within the TI area, connected to the existing networked fire alarm system and a new NAC power extender panel. Audible alarms are to be provided via the hospital PA system per prior FD agreement for this hospital, and are not shown on these fire alarm plans.
The associated building permit (BLD 02-00172) is reduced to include 4,203 sq. ft. of original submittal. Areas noted as undefined on plan resubmittals will require separate application & plans for future work. All red-line notes and PC#01-698 of original plan review are still applicable to this project. To perform selective demolition and remodel of an 4,032 (original scope was 8,440 sq. ft.) area for Chest Paine Unit as examination / treatment rooms as a support area for the new East Tower expansion of the Emergency Room Services per notes and plan review comments of all reviewing agencies, all part of the approved plans. Work to include construction of non-combustible, fire-resistive, non-bearing walls to create the exam rooms; 1-hour exit corridor; occupancy separations to create "Suites per section 1007.5.9 & Tbl 3-c, '97 UBC; extension & upgrade to meet needs of tenant and for code compliance of the electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler and alarm system per current adopted codes. NOTE: This building is fully sprinklered and alarmed. A "Letter of Completion/Compliance" is required as a condition of this permit before the remodel area is approved for hospital use, occupancy or activities.
