Description
To provide a new addressable fire alarm system which will consist of monitoring the existing fire sprinkler system and monitoring new duct smoke detectors. Audio/visual devices and a manual alarm system have been provided but are not non-required. The fire alarm system scope of work includes the entire building located at 7180 - 7190 Barrister.

There are two building permits associated with this work. Both building permits are for the 7180 Barrister address. There are no associated building permits for 7190 Barrister.

The first building permit (BLD 02-02661) is to remodel an 8,725 sq.ft. area located on the east side of the existing 26,000 sq. ft. court room building to create a new administrative office tenant space. Work to include selective demolition; construction of a 1-hour tenant separation wall; construction of new interior non-bearing walls to create an exit access hall, lobby, private offices and support areas; to add a new unisex accessible restroom and upgrade two existing restrooms to full accessibility compliance; install suspended grid ceiling system; add two new exterior windows; upgrade electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler and alarm systems to comply with current codes and to meet tenant needs per notes & attached plan review comments / conditions, all part of the approved plans on file. Note: This building is fully sprinklered for allowable area increase.
The second building permit (BLD02-03081) is to remodel a 13,514 sq.ft. area of the building for use as administrative sheriffs offices & training room with support work areas per approved plans, to include notes on plans and attached plan review comments / conditions. To perform selective demolition; construct interior non-bearing walls to create new open office areas, reception area and Lobby; to install door assemblies to regulate public access; to install accessible ramp to raised platform area of training room, verify complying door hardware and install accessibility directional signage to accessible restrooms; to modify suspended ceiling grid system and fixture's to meet tenants needs; to install new exterior exit door & landing at the southwest corner area of the open office; to modify electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire sprinklers & alarm systems to meet tenant needs and current adopted codes. NOTE: This facility is fully sprinklered. A "Certificate of Occupancy is required for this tenant.
