The existing fire alarm system includes manual pull stations, partial area automatic detection, HVAC smoke detector monitoring, smoke damper detectors and A/V annunciation. The remodel will extend the A/V annunciation and partial area automatic detection and add manual pull stations to the exits in the TI space.

The associated building permit (BLD 03-01653) is to include miscellaneous interior demolition work, new interior walls, new interior doors and windows, replace exterior doors and windows at the sides of the recessed entry/exit, new suspended ceiling in the expansion area, interior finish, upgrading two restrooms to current accessibility standards, mechanical work, and electrical work. A new Certificate of Occupancy with the new area total and new occupant load total is to be issued when completed and approved. NOTE: This building is NOT fire sprinklered.
