To add fire/smoke damper control, HVAC shutdown and A/V notification to an existing manual fire alarm system that includes partial area detection, sprinkler monitoring, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, type I cooking hood monitoring, elevator recall/shutdown and notification.

The associated building permit (BLD 03-01560) is to remodel an existing tenant space located on the first floor of the Empire Building for a new restaurant tenant. The total floor area of this tenant space is about 2,763 square feet (1,653 square feet on the grade level and 1,110 square feet on the "mezzanine" level). Work is to include store front windows, a store front door, bi-fold exterior doors, millwork, guardrails, handrails, grease hood and duct, a dumbwaiter, and kitchen equipment all per approved drawings and plan review conditions on file. The guard at the mezzanine will be constructed of steel posts with stretched cables.
