A new FACP is being added at this time to split the building FA system into two panels, FACP-17 will serve the north wing and FACP-8 will serve the central wing. A smoke detector is being added to the electrical room that houses all the FA panels. The FA modifications associated with the building remodel is to add eight (8) area smoke detectors (with sounder bases for the patient rooms), three (3) smoke detectors for area coverage in the corridor and one (1) smoke detector for door release to the existing FACP-08 (the second smoke for door release is being installed under FIR04-00016). A new NAC extender panel is being added to FACP-08, and two (2) new NAC circuits are being installed for the remodeled space.
FACP-17 will have two (2) existing SLC circuits rerouted from FACP-08 and two (2) existing NAC circuits rerouted from FACP-08.

The associated building permit (BLD 03-01791) is to remodel a 2,781 sq.ft. area of the 4th floor for 8 patient/guest rooms which will each have 1 accessible restroom per approved plans. One of the rooms will be fully accessible. Work includes selective interior wall demolition; construction of new non-combustible fire-resistive walls to create patient/guest rooms, corridor walls and nurse station; suspended ceiling grid system and upgrade electrical, mechanical, plumbing, Sprinkler & alarm systems to meet tenant needs and maintain compliance with adopted codes & ordinances.
