To add total area smoke detector coverage for fire/smoke damper control, smoke detectors for door release and notification throughout the "temporary" remodeled space to an existing required fire alarm system that includes sprinkler monitoring, fire/smoke damper control, HVAC shutdown, elevator recall/shutdown, total area coverage and notification with speakers.

The associated building permit (BLD 03-03000) is to remodel an existing 1850 sq. ft. hospital support area for use as a temporary waiting room and future temporary equipment storage; to perform selective demolition and construct interior N.B., fire-resistive partitions to create two new fully accessible restrooms and two waiting room areas to be surrounded by 1-hour existing corridor walls and 20 minute door assemblies at GE105 & 1-hour fire-barrier wall with 60 minute doors into corridor at GE104; upgrade electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression and alarms systems to meet tenant needs and provide code compliance all per approved plans (part of ETA plans, BLD03-02465.
