(ST ALPHONSUS-ORTHOPAEDIC OPERATING ROOM'S #7 & #8, HVAC LAMINAR FLOW MODIFICATION -1ST FLR) To replace 8 existing Standard Response sprinklers to new Quick Response sprinklers in 2 separate areas. Building construction consists of modifying the HVAC diffusers in two existing operating rooms; some selective demolition of portions of existing ceiling system, lighting & ducting, to install new pre-manufactured re-circulating grille set to wash the surgical site with HEPPA filtered clean air. To reduce number and relocate surgical light fixture with added new support beam and reinstall existing general light fixtures, suspended ceiling drywall support system and speakers. To install temporary partition to secure against dust from remodel contaminating other areas still in use, while maintaining the required exit system at all times for emergency use. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2000, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
