(ST LUKES-EAST TOWER-1ST/GROUND/SB FLRS)(ETA SURGERY SUITE)(PHASE 1 & 2) To install automatic fire sprinklers involving the relocation and addition for the build out and occupation of approximately 26,900-ft/2 of area on the ground floor, to be used for surgery suite and support areas. This work will involve some possible selective demolition for the temporarily relocation of certain essential hospital services, which will remain in operation/service. Fire sprinkler work is mainly associated with the construction of new interior non-bearing, fire-resistive walls to create groups of suites for operating rooms and support facilities, non-sleeping hospital suites throughout the ground floor. This project will involve Phases 1 & 2 as indicated on Architectural plan sheet G0.1 (not included), with six future phases requiring separate submittals and permits. Other related work is the fire protection (pits) for two supply service elevator lifts & equipment rooms from the sub-basement to the ground floor. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with IFC 2000, comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. Comments notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
