(SARMC-CANCER TREAMENT CENTER NURSING UNIT / SECURITY PEDIATRIC NURSING UNIT-2ND FLR, SOUTH TOWER) To remodel this portion of the 2nd floor south tower by constructing approximately 60 foot of new wall to divide the existing Cancer Treatment Center Nursing Unit into two units, CTCNU on the north half and relocating the Security Pediatric Nursing Unit from the 3rd floor to the south half of 2nd floor area. Fire sprinkler work addressed is mainly cosmetic (per the designer) with the addition of 3 new sprinklers and the relocation of 3 existing recessed Q.R. sprinklers. Fire sprinkler work is related to building permit scope of work involving the construction of metal stud walls with 5/8" fire rated sheetrock on both sides from finish floor to bottom of 2-hour concrete floor above to maintain 1-hour corridor / smoke barrier between the existing 'I-2' and relocated 'I-3, condition 3', SPNU and the creation of a new Pantry and Nurse Station and Equipment rooms. All fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2000, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD04-0056.
