To add monitoring of a new sprinkler tamper switch to an existing required manual fire alarm system which includes sprinkler monitoring, required automatic detection, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release, elevator recall/shutdown and notification throughout.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-00593) is to remodel of existing area by removing portion of concrete floor and recessing new reinforced concrete floor by 6" to receive new service test chamber unit and all support equipment; to install mechanical support package, horizontal conduit chase, piping & electrical as part of the test chamber operation; to construct a new steel stair, landings, guards, handrails and support structure for a new exterior stairway to roof of Building 5 South Service; install roof support system for new mechanical unit; structural connections per plans; electrical, mechanical, fire suppression and alarm system modifications to meet tenant needs and comply with minimum current adopted codes and ordinances. Provide SPECIAL INSPECTION for welding and epoxy adhesive connections. A "Letter of Compliance is required as condition of this permit and evidence of final approval for use and occupancy.
