Description
To provide a required sprinkler monitoring fire alarm system that includes HVAC shutdown and Type I cooking hood monitoring.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-00038) is to remodel an existing 6,416 square foot 2nd floor restaurant tenant space for a new restaurant tenant and to expand the floor area by constructing a 1,704 square foot 2nd floor outdoor terrace over an existing roof. Work is to include 2 restrooms altered to be accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, interior stairways, new roof beams, expanded openings in existing masonry walls, kitchen equipment, millwork, and finishes. The terrace will be supported by existing masonry walls and will be constructed of steel beams, wood joists, and "TREX" decking. The terrace will have one rooftop structure having a steel frame and palm roofing and one rooftop structure having steel frames and noncombustible roofing. A demolition permit (BLD04-00048) was issued earlier. DRH03-00224 **CJW** CONSTRUCTION OF THE TERRACE SHALL NOT COMMENCE UNTIL ALL THE CONCERNS OF THE CONSULTANT ENGINEER HAVE BEEN RESOLVED.
