The remodel is splitting the space into two areas. A new office tenant will occupy 3,169-ft/2 of area under this permit. The adjacent remaining 1,589-ft/2 will remain vacant, (Requiring separate permitting for any tenant to occupy the space). The fire sprinkler work is related to some miscellaneous interior demolition work, new one-hour rated fire barrier wall portion that is located and common between the new tenant area and the existing one-hour rated elevator lobby, and new interior non-rated walls. Also new suspended ceilings and new soffit work. For an alternate approval allowing only one exit for a common path of egress travel to be exceeded, new quick response fire sprinkler heads will be required/provided in the space and in the elevator lobby. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with IFC 2000, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
