Work is to include a horizontal 2-hr fire-resistive-rated shaft, a horizontal metal duct, and a blower unit. The blower unit will be supplied with emergency power from the existing emergency generator and will be activated by the fire alarm system and a smoke detector located in the elevator shaft.
