To provide notification appliances in the remodeled area with proper coverage. The existing required manual fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, required automatic detection and notification throughout.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-00497) is to remodel a 360 sq.ft. area by removing approximately 8 feet of non-bearing wall connecting to areas and adding approximately 18 feet of new wall to define the new room area; to upgrade the electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire suppression, alarm & suspended ceiling grid system for the new area, all per approved plans, red-line notes thereon and all attached plan review comments and conditions of all reviewing agencies.
