Eric; Phone #: ###-#### Inspection was for corrections and tenting on the fourth floor . Corrections are ok but the tenting needs repaired in many locations. I also did rough-in spection for the club house. Uprights are too far from deck in some locations. Branchline over pool appears to exceed 12" from centerline of peak. Hangers are not to top chord. See approved plans for locations of problems. Still need letter from engineer before cover on fourth floor will be given. 11/18/2004 10:14:41 AM

second and third floor sprinkler piping is ok to cover. Contractor still needs to provide engineering ok for support of piping on the bottom chords. I notified eric with treasure valley fire that piping will need to go to top chord and all ceilings removed if verification is not provided. 9/1/2004 3:52:17 PM

1st floor rooms are ok to cover except for the room next to the elevators where the 4" dry piping transitions to 6". Piping does not match plans here. Also the entries at the north and the west need holes patched and insulation installed before cover 9/23/2004 2:47:42 PM

Sprinkler uprights in many locations do not meet spacing requirements of nfpa 13-8.6.5.2.1.6 or 8.6.5.2.1.7 (Also see exhibit 8.18). Sprinkler uprights bocked in many locations by round duct. See nfpa 13-8.6.5.2.1.3. Provide verification sprinkler piping can be attached to the top of the bottom chord of the trusses. See nfpa 13-9.2.1.3.1. Per plans wood screws are shown to be used on the pipe straps. Lag screws have been used instead. Nfpa 13-9.1.5.3.3 requires all holes to be predrelled. Provide verification this has been done. Fire sprinkle contractor has used nails and screws (construction debris) in the gaps between the pipe strap hanger and the pipe it is supposed to hold. This appears to have been done to get a correct fit instead of tightening down the lag screws. Hangers must be listed. See nfpa 13-9.1.1.4.1. Side sammys have been screwed into the 1 3/4" side of the top chord of the trusses to hang the 2 1/2" main. This does not meet nfpa 13-9.1.5.6.1. This inspection was stopped at this point. No other items except those listed specifically above have been looked at. All of the items found are in a very small portion of the project on the first floor. No other areas inspected. All items listed above are addressed in the review notes but plans are being kept in the job shack. Do not cover piping until re-inspection passes. It also appears resubmittals are required on notes #1, #2 and #5 of the plan review. 9/16/2004 1:35:57 PM
