To provide visual/audible coverage in the remodeled "clean" corridor in BLDG 24B. An RF (RF-117) will be installed and requires a duct detector for HVAC shutdown. The required manual fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, elevator recall/shutdown, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release and notification throughout.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-01244) is to demolish and remove some interior partitions and doors and install some new interior cleanroom walls and two glass sliding doors to convert approximately 65 lineal feet of Hallway #00AB into cleanroom area. This work will also include related suspended ceiling, mechanical, electrical, fire sprinkler and alarm work. This work is being done on the first floor of Building #24B, between grid lines 9 & 9.5 and D & G. This permit also includes the construction of a new steel structure to support a new steel framed catwalk at the interstitial floor level above the new cleanroom area.
