To extend the existing required manual fire alarm system into the 2nd and 3rd floor tenant improvements. The required manual fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, required automatic detection, HVAC shutdown, elevator recall/shutdown, door release and notification throughout.

A Fire Alarm upgrade agreement exists for this building. Under this agreement the Fire alarm panel replacement and Basement area upgrade were to be completed within year 2001; the 1st and 2nd floors were to be upgraded within year 2002, the 3rd and 4th floors were to be upgraded within year 2003. Any required work which has not been completed in accordance with this schedule, will be required for approval of this TI permit alarm work. Please note that alarm plans for upgrading floors 1 through 4 have been approved and issued under permit FIR04-00055 As of today, the FIR04-00055 permit will require modifications. A resubmittal has been requested as the issued permit did nto include the items as defined in the upgrade drawings from 2000.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-01255) is to remodel both 12,951 sq.ft. office area on the 2nd floor and 15,638 sq.ft. on the 3rd floor per approved plans. Work to include new entrances at corridors, selective demolition of interior partitions, construction of new non combustible partitions, remodel the restroom on the second floor for accessible water closet, installation of suspended ceiling in selective areas, Miscellaneous related interior finishes. This building is fully fire sprinklered for high rise requirements and area increase, any alterations or modifications to the sprinkler system shall be per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department.
