Description
To replace an existing fire alarm system. The required sprinkler monitoring fire alarm system includes HVAC shutdown (all units in the building are being connected at this time, the duct detectors are existing) and notification throughout the remodeled area of the TI only.

10/21/2004 - Additional scope: The front door will have magnetic locks, therefore the fire alarm system is designed to "release" the locks in case of alarm. This door must also comply with IFC 1003.3.1.3.4, Access-controlled egress doors. Plans show four (4) exterior doors, only the front has magnetic locks.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-01723) is to remodel an existing tenant space. Work will include, adding walls to reduce the size of this tenant space from 20674 sq ft to 11,319 sq ft, installation of new janitors sink, minor remodel of restrooms to make more accessible, modify entrance. Ran out time to finish inspection. Phone lines tested ok. No other items tested. 12 volt side of the panel needs 12 amp hour battery. Did not test the 24 volt side. 24 volt side does not supervise both batteries per nfpa 72. 12/20/2004 4:08:18 PM
