Description
To provide monitoring for a cooking hood and a duct smoke detector. The required sprinkler monitoring fire alarm system includes HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release, elevator recall/shutdown, required automatic detection and cooking hood monitoring.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-01984) is to remodel a 742 sq.ft. space for new food service tenant on the upper level per approved plans. This space was previously occupied by "Marios Piaza" this is a food service kitchen for the food court, work will include, reconstruction of the face of the bulkhead the bulkhead is to remain noncombustible, with a 5/8 type x gypboard attached to framing members, a new type one hood system is being installed with a one hour duct wrap, a new service counter is being installed, some additional lighting fixtures are being installed, the existing coolers are being reused. Miscellaneous related interior finishes. This building is fully fire sprinklered and contains a smoke evacuation system, any modifications to the sprinkler system shall be per NFPA #13 and the smoke evacuation system shall remain functional as installed under the 1985 UBC.
