(DOWNTOWN STORAGE CENTER) To remove the existing fire sprinkler system riser and install a system new riser which will include a wall Post Indicator Control, backflow prevention, the extension of a wet system under a former 1,591-ft/2 into a new 6,705-ft/2, for a total of about 8,298-ft/2 mezzanine. Original building height is about 18'-0". The new (lower), 1st floor will include the creation of approximately 47 storage units. The new 8,298-ft/2 2nd floor will be open to the roof. The fire sprinkler work is associated with the new mezzanine floor structure, new interior bearing walls, new stairways, two restrooms and elevator (added to original submittal-10/21/04). This building is fire sprinklered for building area increase. This fire protection work shall comply with the IFC 2000 and the permit review comments; each regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
