To provide total area notification coverage in the remodeled area of BLDG 17C (2nd floor). The existing required manual fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, HVAC shutdown, elevator recall/shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release and notification throughout. The battery, voltage drop and speaker calculations appear to have sufficient capacity. No written comments, PDS Fire Inspector to field verify proper visual spacing and appropriate dB levels. An updated building map shall be provided at time of inspection.

There associated building permit BLD05-00557 is to remove an interior window and door between Break Room #203A and Marketing Customer Service #201A and to infill that area with a new interior partition. To remove approximately three lineal feet of interior partition to relocate the removed 3'x8' window to the north partition of File Room 201B, adjacent to the existing door. File Room 201B is being converted to Office 201B. This permit is also to install approximately 10 lineal feet of interior partition at Marketing Customer Service #201A to reduce that area and create a new 236 sq. ft. office space #201G. This work also includes associated electrical, mechanical and sprinkler modifications. This work is being done at the west end of the second floor of Building #17.
