To provide elevator shunt trip upgrade to the existing elevators. Smoke and heat detectors will be installed in the elevator machine rooms. A TRI-relay/monitoring device will monitor "control voltage" and initiate the shut trip. At this time the elevator controllers are not capable of firemans hat indication and recall to the first floor only. The existing fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, elevator recall/shutdown, HVAC shutdown, door release and notification (voice/evac) throughout.
