To provide notification and relocate an existing smoke detector in the TI space located on the 4th floor. The required manual fire alarm system includes required automatic detection, sprinkler monitoring, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release, elevator recall/shutdown, cooking hood monitoring and notification (chimes/strobes) throughout.

9/15/2005 - Plan Modification. Two ceiling mounted chime/strobes are being added for total area coverage. The BOM still refers to the wall mount unit. The actual part number should be a 24MCC, the PDS Field Inspector to field verify that ceiling mounted chime/strobes are installed. An additional smoke detector is being relocated to accomplish full area coverage.

The associated building permit (BLD 05-01314) is to remodel an existing 696 sq. ft. area for use as pharmacy office / bulk storage / pick-up area to attach to existing pharmacy office. All work within boundary of existing corridor walls & door access. Work includes selective demolition; relocation of millwork, new millwork; construction of approximately 20 feet of non-bearing, non-combustible, fire-resistive wall with pass through window to new office; upgrade of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler & alarm systems.
