To provide required automatic detection, manual fire boxes, HVAC shutdown (existing duct detectors are being replaced), fire/smoke damper control, door release and notification throughout the remodeled area on the third floor. The existing fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, required automatic detection, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release, elevator recall/shutdown and notification throughout (high rise).

The associated building permit (BLD 01-01631) is to remodel a 5,438 sq.ft. area on the south end of the floor for outpatient rooms and offices per approved plans on file. Interior demolition performed under BLD01-01682. Seismic structural upgrade reinforcement & shotcrete done under BLD00-02394. Work to include construction of interior non-bearing, non-combustible, fire-resistive walls to create exam rooms; testing rooms; work rooms and conference / break room for use as medical offices in conjunction with the main hospital. NOTE: This building is fully sprinklered. A "Letter of Completion / Compliance" is required for final approval of Phase "B". When Phase "A" & "B" are finished and L.C.'s issued, a Certificate of Occupancy for the tenant medical office use shall be issued (see comments section of permit for data).
