Description |
To provide a required sprinkler monitoring system that includes HVAC shutdown.
The associated fire sprinkler permit (FIR05-00647) is to install a complete overhead (OH-2) fire sprinkler system with associated underground fire service supply main into and existing 17,100, Type V-B building for (office (B), parking garage-storage (B-1) under the 1979 UBC). Building occupancy permit does not allow underground fire service work will start at the property line service tap on the north side of Enterprise, with 6" C-900 PVC, running south approximately 175'-0", then 90ยบ west under the footing approximately 12'-0" from the inside north wall and 1'-6" from the inside east wall, then up through the floor with 6" C-50 Ductile Iron. (Note: There is no outside control or an outside access in a 1 hour fire separated room shown/provided). The overhead system is a wet grid with a simple "electric" riser. This facility is not allowed to have high piled storage or storage, use of hazardous materials beyond allowable limits and no vehicle repairs. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is not attached to a building permit, but fire protection requirements were addressed under MIS04-00138 to determine requirements for issuance of a certificate of occupancy.
