To provide a new fire alarm system in an existing building that includes sprinkler monitoring, elevator recall/shutdown, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, security door release and notification throughout.

The associated with building permit (BLD 05-03414) is to remodel the 1st story (18,080 square feet) and the basement (25,500 square feet) of an existing 50,900 square foot building for a new office and storage tenant. Except for new exterior windows, a new exterior door, and a fire sprinkler system, an existing 7,320 square foot tenant space located on the 1st story is NOT within the scope of work allowed under this permit. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, several restrooms accessible to the disabled, suspended ceilings, new exterior windows and doors, new single ply roof membrane and insulation, millwork, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system shall comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Code. Site work including parking was done under permit BLD05-02914.
