This permit is to provide fire alarm system smoke detectors with sounder bases used in place of multiple station smoke alarms within a residential condominium. Audible visual devices are installed within the condominium to alert the residents when the required fire alarm system is activated. The required manual fire alarm system as an alternate to the IBC to allow reduced exit separation on the 2nd story and in the basement, to allow a 27 foot dead end corridor on the 2nd story, and to allow the common path of egress travel for some dwelling units on the 2nd story to exceed 75 feet in length.
