Description
This permit is to replace notification appliances as indicated on the fire alarm floor plans, synchronize visual devices as required and install additional notification in the path of egress where applicable and modify the fire fighters elevator recall. Building permit BLD06-02638 is to expand and remodel the reception and customer service area of an existing office tenant space. After the expansion, the customer area will have a floor area of about 1,485 square feet. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, an accessible service counter, relocated doors, interior finishes, and alterations to the suspended acoustical ceiling system. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes. Conference was for the storage room. The existing wall mounted device is blocked by product on the shelf and by the storage rack in the middle of the room. I agreed with steve that a ceiling mounted device would be adequate as long as the kept the storage 18" below the ceiling as per code. That way the ceiling mounted device would be viewable in all areas.
