This fire alarm permit is to provide fire alarm system smoke detectors with sounder bases used in place of multistation smoke alarms within a residential condominium. Audible visual devices are installed within the condominium to alert the residents when the required fire alarm system is activated. The required manual fire alarm system as an alternate to the IBC to allow reduced exit separation on the 2nd story and in the basement, to allow a 27 foot dead end corridor on the 2nd story, and to allow the common path of egress travel for some dwelling units on the 2nd story to exceed 75 feet in length. Building Permit BLD07-00062 is to finish the interior of an existing 1,148 square foot residential suite and prepare it for occupancy. This space was created under the building renovation permit (BLD04-01154). Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, exterior wall furring, millwork, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
