This fire alarm permit is to install a new fire alarm system throughout a new building shell area. The fire alarm system includes a required manual fire alarm system, audible-visual notification, sprinkler and HVAC monitoring, elevator recall and shutdown and offsite monitoring. Building Permit BLD06-00845 is to demolish a portion of an existing warehouse building and to construct a new 31,325 square foot, three story, residential condominium and retail sales building with a 3,310 square foot basement. The basement will contain retail storage area and individual residential storage units. The first floor is 10,770 square feet and contains an approximate 1,030 square foot, four stall parking area, an approximate 4,025 square foot future tenant space, an approximate 4,350 square foot future tenant space and an approximate 1,365 square foot residential common entry and circulation area. The second floor is 10,770 square feet and is planned for 9 residential condominium units. The third floor is 9,785 square feet and is planned for 8 residential condominium units. This building will be constructed of a steel structural frame, concrete floors and masonry and steel stud new and existing exterior walls. This is a shell and core permit only and no occupancy is allowed under this permit. Separate tenant improvement permits will be required to finish this thing for occupancy.
