Description
This fire alarm permit is to modify the audible visual notification on the 12th floor elevator lobby and surrounding areas per a core area tenant improvement project at the US Bank Building. Building permit BLD07-02000 is to remodel the elevator lobby located on the 12th floor of an existing high-rise building and perform minor interior demolition to the 12th floor office tenant per approved plans. The area of the entire 12th story is about 14,520 square feet. The area of the lobby is approximately 2,630 sq ft. Work is to include, selective nonstructural demolition, construction of interior nonbearing walls, ceilings, finishes, all per the approved drawings. The fire sprinkler system, fire alarm system, and high-rise life safety systems (and the infrastructure supporting these systems) for the 12th floor are regulated under the provisions of the 2000 IBC. These systems shall be upgraded throughout the entire floor to comply with current standards unless they are already compliant. If not already existing, fire-safing shall be installed at the perimeter of the 12th floor between the floor and the spandrel glass. This building is fire sprinklered because it is a high-rise. The restrooms were previously upgraded under Bld02-00731. RmH
