Description
The Permitted Work Scope: Over head: Beginning from an existing 6” underground supply in the riser room, install a 4” manifold and a 4” dry pipe riser to serve through out the interior and attic space.
Under separate permit: FIR07-00887; Under ground: Beginning from an NRS valve located off of Roe Street, install a post indicating control valve and run 60 lf. of 6” C-900 out and stub up into the riser room of a new 8’683-ft/2 VB type constructed 1 story bldg. The fire sprinkler underground work shall comply with NFPA 13-2002, NFPA 24-2002 the IFC-2003,
The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with IFC 2003, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to permit BLD05-01603 and UG permit # FIR07-00887.

A forward flow assembly is required. To be field verified.
2. The unsprinklered roof dormers / overbuilds appear to be 5’-0” + at the peak. Note: At the time of rough in or final inspection, please provide a view port at each dormer so that the dormer insulation level may be confirmed by a Fire/Life Safety inspector.

The inspection was for above ground hydo tests. The dry system had lost pressure prior to me arriving. I also that the FDC was not being hydro as required. The wet system did have over 200 lbs. The fitter and I decided that all of the testing for buildings 1 and 2 as well as the rough in for buidling 2 will happen on wednesday.

The sprinkler piping is ok to cover. Per a verbal agreement with the general contractor the overbuild areas wont be covered until I can verify that they are full of insulation as per the approved plans.

The overbuilds need to be filled with insulation as per the approved drawings. A hanger/block assembly on the wet system needs replaced. Tenting needs repaired. The inspectors test for the dry system needs to be located at the end of the most remote branchline as stated in NFPA 13 8.16.4
