overhead Work Scope: Over Head Only
Modify the existing wet pipe sprinkler system in the Main, East & West offices on the 1st floor of this 2 story bldg. to accommodate a new ceiling layout and remodel. The scope includes adding and relocating sprinkler heads. The scope also includes tieing into the existing 2” supply in the East office to supply new branchlines. (See Sheet FP2) The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2006, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to permit BLD07-02914. When tenant work affects fire sprinkler protection outside the permitted work area due to the installation of tenant-demising or new partition walls, the affected area sprinkler coverage outside the BLD permit will fall under the Fire Permit scope of work, to maintain the required fire protection within the fire sprinklered facility. The “Riser” and its supplies which include all appurtenances (including tamper, alarm and alarm monitoring) relating to the normal and correct function and integrity of this system will fall under the jurisdiction for code compliant verification.
