Scope of Work: UG & OH - Beginning from an existing 2” Poly line stubbed in from the street by United Water, run 83’ of 2” CPVC under ground piping out and stub up into an existing 2,502-ft/2 single story 10 bed assisted living facility. From the supply, install a 1.5” Back Flow Device and wet riser. The wet system will serve out this existing structure in accordance with NFPA 13D. System shall be equipped with an alarm initiating device and an outside alarm. All fire sprinkler work and related, which includes dual use, single service water supply, the system backflow prevention device (provided by others), shall be per IFC2006 903, NFPA 13D, approved plans, engineering/red-lining and attached review comments, under direction of the Fire Chief. The water has been turned off to the fire sprinkler system at the street and there is exposed cpvc piping that has not been installed per the installation manual for exposed piping. Basically it needs to be tight to the ceiling. There is also a question of heat in the smoking room on the west side of the building.

The underground piping is ok to cover. The piping installed is 2" PVC. The contractor wanted the overhead rough-in performed but did not have the city approved plans on site. No overhead inspection was done.
