Work Scope: *** SEE FIR08-00071*** ALSO NO FEES AS THIS WAS REVIEWED UNDER FIR08-00071.(ADA COUNTY COURTHOUSE - PUBLIC DEFENDERS OFFICE EXPANSION - 1ST STORY - SOUTHWEST and SOUTHEAST CORNER) This building is fire sprinklered because there is a floor level located more than 55 feet above grade. To expand an existing tenant space into an adjacent 2,344 square foot area located on the 1st story of the Ada County Courthouse building. All work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department.
The Fire Sprinkler scope consists of adding and relocating down heads to accommodate the new wall and ceiling layout on the 1st floor of this 5 story office bldg. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2006, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to BLD07-02826.
When tenant work affects fire sprinkler protection outside the permitted work area due to the installation of tenant-demising or new partition walls, the affected area sprinkler coverage outside the BLD permit will fall under the Fire Permit scope of work, to maintain the required fire protection within the fire sprinklered facility. The “Riser” and its supplies which include all appurtenances (including tamper, alarm and alarm monitoring) relating to the normal and correct function and integrity of this system will fall under the jurisdiction for code compliant verification.
