To remove existing sprinkler heads under existing stairs in preparation for removal of stairs and escalators located in building entry. Install 3 new sprinklers to maintain sprinkler coverage after removal of stairs and escalators. Additional modifications may take place in order maintain fire sprinkler protection during this remodel construction phase. Further modifications shall be annotated on fire sprinkler plans and turned in to PDS in the form of as built sprinkler drawings. Existing overhead sprinklers within permit area shall be maintained and or modified as requried to maintain building fire protection. The building fire protection and alarm system shall be returned to service at the end of each working day. As much work as possible shall be accomplished prior to shutting down fire protection system in order to minimize system down time.
