This quick permit is to add one horn and relocate one smoke detector as a result of a remodel. If ceiling heights allow, and unless otherwise permitted by 2007 NFPA 72 7.4.7.2 through 7.4.7.5 Wall-mounted appliances (Horns) shall their tops above the finished floor at heights of not less than 90 inches and below the finished ceilings at distances of not less than 6 inches. 2007 NFPA 72, 7.4.7.1. No other review comments. Associated Building Permit: BLD08-01956 (DR. DAVIS) Interior remodel to add 800 sq. ft. to an existing 1,215 sq. ft. office space. The new total tenant space area will be 2,016 sq. ft. This building is not sprinklered. There is a 1-hour rated exit corridor serving this space and connecting two exit enclosure's serving the second floor. Work to include: perform selective interior demolition within the current tenant area. To construct new interior walls to create new exam rooms, procedure room, waiting areas, reception, storage rooms, office, and support areas. Portions of the rated corridor will be modified to relocate or remove doors and install new rated door assemblies as required for rated corridors. Install new ceiling grid and tiles in specified locations; new accessible millwork and sinks; complete new interior finishes; upgrade electical, mechanical and plumbing.
