FIR Work Scope: The fire sprinkler scope consists of modifying the existing system piping layout and design in an area that will support future rack storage of rubber tires to 12’-6”. Several branchlines will be removed and replaced with larger pipe to support the ESFR design approach. In addition, the existing riser will be modified by up sizing the vertical riser and supply piping to 8” in order to meet the new demand. Any future racking shall be submitted under a separate permit. Based on the calculations provided, this modification does not appear to adversely affect the operation of the existing system. The office area sprinkler head layout will also be modified to accommodate a new ceiling layout. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2006, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
