Description
The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding and relocating heads to accommodate new wall configurations.

Associated building permit BLD08-02067 - (REDMONT OUTPATIENT) Remodel of 4,675 sq. ft. portion of existing 10,412 sq. ft. building to create a tenant space for Redmont Outpatient Services. Work includes select areas of interior demolition in preparation for new construction. New construction includes interior non-bearing walls to create this tenant space, five private offices, three conference rooms, a break room, accessible restrooms, waiting / reception and support areas, non-rated corridor and new exterior exit doors to serve the large conference room and adjoining areas. The large conference room, #115, is classified as an 'A3' occupancy due to occupant load greater than 50. Additions of two exterior exit doors, landings, clear floor space and hardware per 2006 IBC. Work includes upgrade of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, sprinkler and alarm system to meet tenant needs and for code compliance. Bi-level switching is provided in newly created rooms for energy code compliance. Hi-lo accessible drinking fountains, a service sink and specimen sampling / testing restroom facility are provided. This building is fully sprinklered for allowable area increase based on 1991 UBC, code at time of construction.

The approved fire sprinkler plans show many rooms where the modified sprinkler pendants are to be changed to a quick responce type. The sprinkler heads installed are of the standard responce type.
