The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of converting part of a shell fire protection into a tenant renovation for one condo unit 1601 on the 16th floor. This review encompasses additional units 1602 thru 1604 and units 1701 thru 1703 which are similar in scope.
(THE ASPEN - RESIDENTIAL UNIT 1601 thru 1604 and 1701 thru 1703) Scope is for 1601, the other units are similar. Fire sprinklers required because this building is a high-rise. To create a 2,541 square foot dwelling unit on the 16th story of a new high-rise building. The 1-hr corridor on the 16th story will be constructed in conjunction with this permit. Work is to include 1-hr fire-resistance-rated tenant demising walls, 1-hr fire-resistance-rated corridor, interior nonbearing walls, suspended gypsum board ceilings, millwork, and finishes. This dwelling unit is required to comply with ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 Section 1004 as a Type B dwelling unit. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
