This fire alarm permit is to add notification and HVAC monitoring (F/S dampers and AHUs) to the existing fire alarm control panel to accommodate a tenant improvement.
Associated building permit: BLD08-01783 (MACLIFE INC) (12-22-08 PLAN MODIFICATION TO CHANGE THE INTERIOR LIGHTING.) The fire sprinkler system substitutes for the 1-hr fire-resistance-rating of the structure. To construct a 2,523 square foot retail sales tenant space on the 1st story of a new building (1,547 square foot retail sales, 753 square foot service area, 112 square feet restrooms, 58 square foot hallway, and 53 square foot interior walls). Occupancy of the "Future Expansion Area" is NOT allowed under this permit. A separate permit is required to establish occupancy for the "Future Expansion Area". Work is to include 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, gypsum board ceilings, suspended acoustical ceilings, acoustical ceiling board attached directly to the underside of the floor deck above, millwork, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
