This fire alarm permit is to provide speakers and speaker/strobes, addressable smoke detector for elevator recall, and single/multi-station smoke alarms as a tenant improvement for a condo. These devices are an extension of the building voice evacuation system.

Associated building permit: BLD08-01711 (THE ASPEN - RESIDENTIAL UNIT 1603) Fire sprinklers required because this building is a high-rise. To create a 1,160 square foot dwelling unit on the 16th story of a new high-rise building. The 1-hr corridor on the 16th story will be constructed in conjunction with this permit. Work is to include 1-hr fire-resistance-rated tenant demising walls, 1-hr fire-resistance-rated corridor, interior nonbearing walls, suspended gypsum board ceilings, millwork, and finishes. This dwelling unit is required to comply with ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 Section 1004 as a Type B dwelling unit. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
