Description
The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding sprinklers to three new rooms. The sprinklers will be added from two adjacent systems. The existing FDC will be relocated to the outside wall.

(VALLEY VIEW SKILLED NURSING & INDEPENDANT LIVING AREA - LAUNDRY/ OXYGEN STORAGE / MECHANICAL ROOM ADDITION - EXTENSION OF EXISTING 4-HOUR FIRE WALL). The entire retirement center complex is fully sprinklered. The 4-hour fire wall separates the SNF of II-A construction from the ILF of V-A construction. Work includes site preparation for construction of concrete footing & foundation, underground utilities, construction of 1-hour non-combustible perimeter walls and roof system; electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler and alarm modifications to new areas; extension of existing four hour wall between different types of construction; and interior finishes. Laundry addition is 80 s.f.;Oxygen storage area is 70 s.f. both located in the ILF portion and a 56 s.f. addition to mechanical room within the SNF portion. Oxygen containers limited to total of 30 gallons or 3000 c.f. in sprinklered building control area. This amount can be doubled if stored in approved gas cabinets plus sprinklers. The oxygen storage unit is separated from all other surrounding areas by a 1-hour fire barrier construction with protected penetrations. drs DRH09-00019
