The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of installing approximately 70' of 6" C-900 underground piping with fittings and a PIV. The above ground work will follow at a later date under a separate permit.

(LOWELL ELEMENTARY) Remodel of an existing 41,741 sq. ft. school building, exterior site accessibility, additional parking and structural upgrade & connections as per engineering & per approved plans. Work includes select structural & interior finish demolition for the express purpose of removing asbestos, lead containing materials and finishes and to upgrade accessibility between floors within the building and from the exterior school site to the interior of the building and the public way to the school grounds; and to install a sprinkler / alarm systems throughout. Scope of work includes removal of doors, hardware & finishes; remodel administrative offices, workroom & lounge; install new doors and hardware; construct new elevator, ADA ramps, upgrade security, lighting, HVAC & plumbing; construct new interior walls, millwork and finishes; and all associated site work all as indicated in the reviewed plans. Permit BLD09-00888 is also attached to the same set of plans for a 692 sq. ft. garage/maintenance building. drs CUP09-00019 - Modification

The underground supply piping can be covered. Final approval of the PIV location will need to be approved by mark sentenno since it is less than 40' from the building and is not located as shown on the plans. Also the two 45 degree fittings shown on the city approved plans did not need to be installed and the underground was installed straight into the building. Also the "deadman" fittings could not be inspected since several yards of concrete have already been poured over them. None of the interior penatration of the underground supply has been inspected.
