The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. The fire sprinkler system is required to be upgraded to comply with current standards, including quick-response sprinklers, in order to avoid enclosed 1-hr fire-resistance-rated corridors. Elements of the existing fire sprinkler system that already comply with current standards may remain without upgrade. This building remodel will be done in phases.
