Description |
This fire alarm permit is to provide notification to accommodate a tenant improvement. A new power supply is being provided (connected to an existing spare NAC on the FACP) to accommodate the new notification. Initiating devices are not part of this permit scope.
Associated building permit: BLD09-01944 (INTEGRATED PACKAGING) This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistance rated construction. To create a 1,205 square foot tenant space in the basement of the "9th Street Warehouses" with egress directly to the below grade North plaza. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, millwork, and finishes. A 903 square foot restroom core area will also be created. Work is to include a restroom accessible to the disabled (2 total since one already exists), janitor's closet, storage room, drinking fountains, and a nonrated one-way corridor. Work also includes upgrading a portion of an existing corridor to comply as a 1-hr exit passageway. Doors will be upgraded to 1-hr and a ceiling constructed like a 1-hr shaftwall assembly will be installed below existing pipes. Work within the adjacent TI shell space is covered under permit BLD09-01977. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
