2-8-11 PLAN MODIFICATION (12 initiating devices affected): This plan modification is to implement redlines and review comments from previous review, field modifications, and the addition of a heat detector in the gas closet.
4-6-10:This fire alarm permit is to extend the existing fire alarm system in to the building addition. The existing system includes automatic detection for releasing an existing deluge system that is also being extended into the new areas (see FIR10-00028). New pull stations, smoke detectors, and notification are being provided to accommodate the tenant improvement. The new notification devices will be connected to a new NAC panel. Associated building permit: BLD09-01711 Boise Public Works- West Boise Central Lab - Metals Lab Addition - To construct a 3,675 square foot, one story, wood framed addition on the west end of the existing West Boise Central Laboratory building. And to do a small remodel within the existing building between grid lines 3 & 4 and B & D. This addition will include two new Metals Instruments Rooms, two new Preparation Rooms and two new Acid Wash Rooms, a new Mechanical Room, a new AWN Room and new entry. This addition will also have a five foot high mechanical attic. All construction per the approved plans and attached comment list.

The smoke detector located in Mech. 144 exceeds 3' from the peak and it exceeds 12" from the deck. The smoke detectors in room 139, 138 and 146 exceeds 21' from the room corners. Strobes are overspaced in rooms 138, 146 and 147. Add a detector in the Gas 149 room as per the approved plans. A heat detector could be used instead of a smoke detector due to environmental reasons. All detectors shall be located no less than 3' from supply and return openings. Provide testing for all remaining devices.
