The Showroom area sprinkler piping is ok to cover. The pendant sprinkler heads have not been installed in the same locations shown on the approved plans but mathmatically the coverage appears to still be adequate.

See the latest city approved plan modification for areas where the sprinkler piping can be covered. I pointed out that quick responce sprinklers are required in all light hazard areas.

See the city approved plans for locations where piping is ok to cover. I re-iterated that resubmittals will be required and the possiblility of a stop work order if work that does not match the plans proceeds.

See the city approved plans for piping clouded in red that was inspected. The installation itself appears ok except plans need to be resubmitted showing the pipe routing changes on the gridded portion of the sprinkler system. Branchlines and mains have both been moved with additional fittings but in some instances fittings eliminated. Final locations of pendants have not been inspected yet.

The overhead hydro test passed for the service area. The sprinkler rough-in is complete for the service area except for the piping on the second floor corridor has been covered and can not be inspected. This piping will need to be exposed for inspection. The issue came up on finaling this permit when the service area was complete. This can not be done since the new addition (service area) and the existing building are under the same permit and the same scope of work. All of the remaining work would need to be completed or the sprinkler plans, possibly fire alarm plans, including the building plans, would need to be resubmitted to modify the scope of work to match the installed work.

The underground hydro test passed with leakage acceptable per NFPA 13 chapter 10. The underground flush passed. The overhead rough-in for the Service Bay/Product/Electrical Room passed with the exception of the redline corrections noted on the city approved plans which include the need for an aux. drain, missing flexible cplgs.

Inspection was for the hydro test of the underground supply. I arrived at the project and found visible movement on the pressure guage. Jeff was in the process of locating the leak. No testing was performed.
