The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding two upright sprinkler and two pendent sprinklers to two new offices. Furthermore, one new pendent sprinkler will be added to one new bathroom and twelve upright, and one sidewall sprinkler will be added to a new storage room. The existing system is a 6”x4”x2” grid. The storage in the new storage room shall be no higher than 8’-3”. Storage is dry grains and pasta.

Building Department Scope:

Permit is to remodel an existing 28,777 square foot building by adding a storage room, a unisex toilet, and two offices. Approval is contingent upon adhering to the approved plans on file. Work to include: [construction of interior bearing and non-bearing walls to create two offices, a unisex restroom, and a storage room], construction of a 1,440 square foot mezzanine above the new storage room, construction of a new loading dock, installation of new plumbing, installations of new metal awnings, and finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2006 IBC. This building is fully fire sprinklered any alterations or modifications to the sprinkler system WILL REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT and shall be installed per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department. Racking that exceeds 8 ft. in height requires a separate Building Permit be submitted and approved before installation. **TLW** --TF--
