This quick permit is to monitor a new kitchen hood suppression system using an existing zone on an existing fire alarm panel. The existing zone formerly was used to monitor a kitchen hood in the (now vacant) Pronto Pup tenant. The zone and all corresponding documentation/references will be re-labled to ensure there is no confusion as to which tenant space this zone is monitoring. Multiple hood system monitoring for seprate tenant spaces is not allowed on a single zone. NOTE TO CONTRACTOR: A building map shall be posted at the FACP indicating the type and location of all alarm initiating devices, by device address or zone number. All work to be per approved plans on file. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered to substitute for one-hour construction. Any modification or relocation of the existing fire sprinkler system requires separate permit and shall be per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department. Separate applications & permits are required for cooking hood fire extinguishing system and alarm system tie in as regulated by fire department. The existing rear door serving this space is part of a 1-hour rated exit corridor. The door is listed as 20 minute assembly with closer & smoke gasket per original plans. drs
